Significant Drop in Coronavirus Fatalities: Global Health Report

The World Health Organization reported that the number of deaths from coronavirus in four weeks fell by 39%, and the number of infections – by 27%.

According to the organization, 3,576,996 cases and 25,157 deaths were registered in the world in four weeks, and from February 27 to March 26 this year, almost 3.6 million people were infected with coronavirus in the world, more than 25 thousand died.

The U.S. (678,002), followed by Russia (333,073), Korea (270,378), China (255,961) and Japan (242,894) reported the most cases in 28 days, according to the organization.

The United States recorded the highest number of deaths from February 27 to March 26 (7,909), followed by the UK (2,719), Japan (1,519), China (1,230) and Germany (1,085).

As of March 29, the World Health Organization has received 761,402,282 cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic and 6,887,000 deaths.
