Simone Biles shocked the sportsman world when he pulled out of gymnastics on Tuesdays team all around final at the Tokyo Olympics, trying to protect his mental health. Wednesday it was announced bile would be also withdraw from the Thursday individual all around final.
“After further medical evaluation, Simone Biles withdrew from final all-round individual competition”, it is read in a statement from USA Gymnastics. “We are wholehearted support by Simone decision and applaud his courage in giving priority to his well-being. his courage shows, still again, because she is a role model for so many.”
In the wake of his retirement on On Tuesday, Biles said it wasn’t in the right state of mind for compete. “I just tried like it would be a little better to take a back seat, work on my awareness and I knew the girls would do an absolutely great I work and I don’t want to risk the team a medal, “said Biles in a press conference.
The Russian team won the gold medal after she walked away, and her US teammates took silver. Even if she misses it on Thursday event, Biles is still qualified participate in next of the week vault, Asymmetric parallels, floor exercises and endings to the beam.

In the US, you can watch the Olympics and everything in between of the above events via NBC. The NBC TV channel will do it air modified versions of the Games during prime-time hours, but you can watch the events live onor on NBCOlympics.com. Spectators in the UK will watch through EuroSport, while the Australians can see the games through Canale 7 and the 7Plus streaming service.
What’s the stakes in game
Biles became a significant force to itself in recent years: she is often referred to as the greatest gymnast of all the time and after just one Olympic Games, he is considered a senior Olympian.
Her accolades go beyond medals and include being named ESPN’s Most Dominant Athlete of the Year (2018), ESPN’s Woman of the year (2016) and the female athlete of AP of the year (2019).
