Even though most fans liked the show because they thought it was a remake of the superhero movie Sky High (2005), once Netflix released the teaser, people were very interested in it. When the series starts next month, we hope it will do better than the prequel movie.

Sky High: The Series: The Plot

The Netflix trailer says the story is about Sole, married to Angel, the leader of a well-known group of thieves. She is heartbroken when she finds out that her husband was killed in a fight between two gangs, but she finds the strength to live independently. She chose to act independently instead of relying on her father, Rogelio, who was one of Madrid’s most successful stolen goods traffickers. She had a son to protect and multiple businesses to run to make sure she had a future. As she goes after goals bigger than her husband’s, she meets new friends who will eventually help her reach her destiny. Getting gangs to help her plan heists is hard enough, but having mafias and agents after her will make it even more difficult for her to stay alive.

Even though the heart-pounding teaser, which we used to figure out what the show was about, didn’t tell us much, here is Netflix’s official summary:

A phone call in the middle of the night will change Sole’s destiny: Ángel, her husband and leader of a gang of gangsters has died; turned overnight into a young widow with a son to take care of and many troubled businesses to run, Sole is not willing to return to the tutelage of her father Rogelio, one of the biggest dealers of stolen objects in Madrid. Determined to make a living for herself, Sole will find new allies along the way who will help her to unravel the mystery of the deaths that have marked her destiny, while she makes contact with the gang of thieves and manages to win their trust so that she can once again carry out robberies as ambitious as those of the old days. But neither the police nor the different mafias she’ll have to compete with will be willing to make her way to heaven easy.
