SNC-Lavalin subsidiaries disallowed from public agreements in Quebec for five years


The Autorité des marchés publics (AMP) on Wednesday called 6 SNC-Lavalin entities to its list of business that are disqualified to bid on public agreements, referred to as RENA.

In December, a subsidiary of the Montreal engineering company, SNC-Lavalin Structure Inc., pleaded guilty to corruption and accepted pay a $280 million charge to settle federal criminal charges that its executives paid off Libyan federal government authorities almost a years back in order to win successful agreements in the African nation.

The 6 SNC entities affected by the AMP limitation include 2 Montreal-based entities, SNC-Lavalin Structure and building and construction Inc. and SNC-Lavalin Exploitation Inc.
