With the jump in hydrocarbon prices, the wheel of major projects is back in full swing DiameterThat should decide on bids for an electricity generation and water desalination project costing about $ 3 billion, which has been postponed more than once, according to Al Arabiya.net from two sources close to the issue.

The sources added that competition for the project is decreasing between a consortium led by the French company Engi and the Japanese company Marubeni, and that the offers are expected to be decided by mid-November.

The new project that Qatar intends to carry out aims to produce electricity from gas with a capacity of 2.5 gigawatts, as well as desalinating more than 100 million gallons of water per day.
