Southern Egypt’s Aswan Governorate shakes with a magnitude 4 earthquake

An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale struck today northeast of Aswan in southern Egypt and a statement from the Egyptian National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research said the quake’s epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers below the surface of the earth, 17 km northeast of the city of Aswan in southern Egypt. According to the institute, no loss of property or life was recorded as a result of the quake.
