Special Provisions for Muslim Premier League Players During Ramadan

The Premier League has permitted Muslim players to pause their fast during matches throughout the month of Ramadan, beginning on Thursday. Sky Sports has reported that refereeing organizations in the UK have instructed referees to allow matches to be stopped naturally for Muslim players to have breakfast. The guidelines involve permitting players to consume liquids or nutritional supplements for breakfast during night games. Match referees must identify Muslim players before the match and agree upon a specific time for a breakfast break. The British Football Association has not yet commented on the news.
