Special tracks at Jeddah Airport to facilitate the arrival of Formula 1 participants

Jeddah King Abdulaziz International Airport receives arrivals in Jeddah during the period of hosting the Formula 1 race, where the airport is working in collaboration with the organizing committee of the event to organize the reception of a large number of guests and participants, as well as receiving shipments related to Formula 1, such as: auto racing and other equipment that started arriving in Jeddah in the last few days.

King Abdulaziz International Airport has facilitated the movement of passengers in arrival on regular, additional and private flights.The airport facilities also included the allocation of preferential lanes and human cadres to serve the arrivals of the participants in the race, starting from the passport counters in to which 11 branches have been assigned to serve them, while passing through in customs through dedicated tracks, providing them with assistance inarea receiving baggage and providing them with the necessary instructions and information during their presence in airport, as well as providing health care services in collaboration with the Ministry of Health their places of residence.

The lounges at King Abdulaziz International Airport were decorate with the flags of the Kingdom, the logos of the Formula 1 racing, the models of auto racing cars in different areas of Terminal 1 and photos of team and the participating pilots.

Interestingly, His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Engineer Saleh Al-Jasser, inaugurated Saudi Airlines’ new Al-Fursan lounge in thearea international departures of Terminal 1 at King Abdulaziz Airport, in coinciding with the extensive preparations to receive F1 guests. The lounge is located on a ‘area of (3.5) 1,000 square meters, can accommodate approximately (10) thousand guests per day, and is equipped according to the most hygienic, health and safety procedures.It is also the largest lounge for frequent flyer members of the global SkyTeam alliance, which counts (19) airlines from different continents of the world.
