Spider-Man 2 Trailer Reveals Limited Edition PS5 Console and Controller

PlayStation and Insomniac Games unveil Spider-Man 2 at San Diego Comic Con

During San Diego Comic Con, PlayStation and Insomniac Games debuted a new trailer for Spider-Man 2. They also announced a special edition PS5 console and controller.

Story Setup

The trailer sets up the story for the game and provides fans with their first full look at Venom.

According to senior narrative director Jon Paquette, the game begins with both Peter Parker and Miles Morales at the height of their superhero careers. However, they are struggling with their personal lives. Miles is trying to find time to write his college entrance essay but keeps getting distracted by his responsibilities as Spider-Man.

Peter, on the other hand, is struggling with mortgage payments for Aunt May’s house. He can’t bring himself to sell it because of the emotional value it holds. Additionally, MJ wants to help with the mortgage, but her job is on the line due to J. Jonah Jameson’s return to the Bugle. Our heroes are faced with uncertain futures and tough decisions.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition PS5 Bundle

The limited edition bundle includes a custom PS5 console cover design and a matching DualSense wireless controller. The design of the console and controller is inspired by the in-game symbiote that plays a significant role in the game.

Availability and Pre-Orders

Pre-orders for the limited edition bundle will begin on July 28. They will be available for purchase directly from PlayStation at direct.playstation.com or select retailers in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Portugal. Limited quantities of the products will also be available in other countries around the world.

Release Date

The PS5 Console, Console Covers, and DualSense Wireless Controller will be available starting September 1, ahead of the game’s official release in October.
