In Marvel’s Amazing Spider-Man #19, Peter Parker and Felicia Hardy, also known as the Black Cat, take a romantic getaway to a ski lodge outside of New York City. This issue features a special guest creative team including writer Joe Kelly, artist Terry Dodson and inker Rachel Dodson. While Peter and Felicia are looking to relax and enjoy some time away from the city, they soon find themselves surrounded by dangerous enemies.
The current Amazing Spider-Man run revealed that Mary Jane Watson is now with another man named Paul and is raising two children. Peter and MJ’s relationship has been hinted at, but Peter has since become reacquainted with Felicia and the two shared a kiss in Amazing Spider-Man #6. Felicia and Mary Jane also had their own adventure in a five-issue miniseries, Mary Jane & Black Cat, where Mary Jane gains superpowers and the two of them travel down into Limbo. However, Felicia has yet to tell Mary Jane that she and Peter are dating again.
The issue of Amazing Spider-Man #19 will be released on February 8, 2023, and will include letters by VC’s Joe Caramagna, cover art by John Romita Jr., Scott Hanna and Marcio Menyz, and variant cover art by Rachel and Terry Dodson, Francesco Mobili, and Romulo Fajardo Jr. The issue promises to be an exciting one, with Peter and Felicia’s romantic getaway taking a dangerous turn. It remains to be seen whether or not they will be able to escape unscathed, or if the secrets between Peter, Felicia, and Mary Jane will be revealed. No matter what happens, it is sure to be an exciting issue of Amazing Spider-Man.
