Stabbed in a Paris train station.. wounded and the attacker arrested

Several people were slightly injured by a stab weapon Wednesday at Paris’ Gare du Nord train station after being attacked by a man who was immediately arrested by police, according to police sources.

The accident occurred around 06:45 local time (05:45 GMT) inside the station. For an as yet unclear reason, the man injured several people with a knife.

Police officers seized him using weapons, according to the same source.

The attacker suffered minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

To this, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanan commented in a tweet, writing: “Thanks to the security forces for the courageous and effective response.”

Interestingly, the Gare du Nord station receives a lot of trips in train from the suburbs and other French regions, as well as international flights such as the Thalys train between Paris and Brussels and the Eurostar between Paris and London, according to AFP.
