Star Wars Outlaws: A Game with Many Stories
Another Assassin’s Creed Valhalla? This is the main concern of fans regarding Ubisoft’s next game: Star Wars Outlaws. This fear was born from an interview given a few days before: “It’s a crude analogy, but the size of a planet could be equivalent to two of the areas of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey,” said creative director Julian Gerighty. This would amount to a much larger title than Valhalla whose lifespan could extend to 143 hours of play according to the media. At the microphone of IGN at the San Diego Comic-Con, Julian Gerighty and narrative director Navid Khavari tried to dispel any doubt about it:
A game with many stories
A vast game in which the player can create his own adventure. In Star Wars Outlaws, you have to play as Kay Vess with whom you can explore several worlds. You can choose to follow the missions of Jabba the Hutt or betray him. But beware, the latter will be quick to take revenge and send all the bounty hunters of the galaxy in pursuit in case of betrayal. These different possibilities were detailed at the microphone of IGN by the developers as follows: “our job is to make sure that the player organizes his experience according to his desires”.
The title will take place in an open world as Navid Khavari explained: “We talked a lot about it with the team. Yes, we build open worlds, bustling cities and canteens and big open plains, but we always try to approach this from a place with character, a place steeped in history (…). So it’s always on our minds. Merging this narrative element with the game”. As a reminder, Star Wars Outlaws should be released in 2024 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
