Starting Monday, the WhatsApp messaging app will stop working on smartphones running iOS 10 and iOS 11. These phones will not be in able to receive upcoming updates or features.
The company, “Meta”, owner of the famous application, said that among the phones that will also stop support: iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C. According to The Economic Times.
Users need to update their smartphone to the latest version of the operating system if the phone is not in automatic update.
The Whatsapp Help Center has also clarified that iPhone users will need iOS 12 or later to continue using the app, or Android 4.1 or later.
To find out the operating system of your phone: you have to go to the settings menu and choose “About phone” to see the version and, if there is an update option available, click on it in so you can continue using WhatsApp.
