Steam Offers Early Access Game for Free Download

Another game can now be downloaded for free on Steam with no catch. Every week, a developer or publisher gives away their game for free or makes their paid game free to play. Here’s an example of the latter: a game that used to cost money to buy is now free, and it doesn’t look like anything has changed about it. It’s the same game, but now you can play it for free. The game is called CHKN by Katapult.

“Again, hello, everyone. CHKN is now officially free, “reads an announcement that goes with it. “Now is your chance to make your beautiful monsters and help your friends survive attacks from wild creatures. Please enjoy!”

To thank everyone who bought the game, Katapult is giving away the digital book Art of CHKN. The freebie will only be given to people who purchased the game before this change. If you meet the requirements, it should appear in your Steam library. So, to get to the book, you’ll need to go to your library’s CHKN page and scroll down to the DLC box on the right. Once you download the freebie, a PDF will be in the same folder on your hard drive where the game is.

As for the game itself, it has been in “early access” since April 1, 2016. During the seven years, it has been in Steam Early Access, 78 percent of the 1,212 user reviews have been positive, giving the game a “Mostly Positive” rating. In the last 30 days, 50 people have reviewed the game, and the same number of people have given it a good rating.

A description of the game says, “CHKN is an open-world sandbox game where life itself is your strongest tool.” “In this open-world sandbox game, you can make creatures out of this world. Explore, make things, and stay alive with the help of what you make.”

No one knows when CHKN will come out, but the game is still being worked on. When it does get free, it is likely to stay free. We don’t know why it was made accessible, but it’s expected because there wasn’t enough interest in the game to keep it going.
