Steph McGovern, 39, has announced she will be returning to the BBC as she takes on a new role. It comes after the presenter recently took to social media and shared that Steph’s Packed Lunch will be off-air over the summer break.
The TV star, who quit BBC Breakfast in 2019, has since announced she will be back at the Beeb.
Taking to Instagram, Steph revealed the exciting news that she will be fronting her own show.
Sharing a series of photos of her time filming in the Yorkshire Dales, the mum-of-one gave an insight into her new BBC offering.

“Spent the day filming a show in The Yorkshire Dales on Monday. I walked round Littondale in the sunshine for 7 hours.
“All I had to do was carry a little camera on a stick and then walk round talking to myself and any people I met along the way!”
She continued: “Met some brill people including @team_of_the_bean — a fab small mobile business in the Dales serving cracking drinks.
“Will be on the telly in the Autumn called ‘Walking with… Steph McGovern’ BBC Two.”

The small-screen star didn’t share any further details concerning her new role but was quickly inundated with congratulatory messages.

Steph left BBC Breakfast in October 2019 to join Channel 4 where she presents her own daytime programme Steph’s Packed Lunch.
The TV star has recently taken a break from her self-titled show for the summer but is expected to return in September.
The former Breakfast presenter also shared her excitement after her Channel 4 programme was nominated Best Daytime Programme at the TRIC awards 2021.
Taking to Twitter, Steph shared the good news in view of her 414,000 followers.

She penned: “Eeeee this is exciting — my show @PackedLunchC4 has been shortlisted for Best Daytime Programme at @TRICawards 2021.
“I’m so pleased for my team who managed to launch a live daily show in the middle of a pandemic… and now we’re 200 episodes in.”
Steph’s Packed Lunch will be going up against The Chase and This Morning with the winners being announced in September.
Viewers congratulated the presenter, as one wrote: “It is well deserved Steph, great show, everyone has a good input and the best thing is the presenters don’t make everything about themselves.”
