Stop Throwing Objects at Artists: Adele Calls Out Disturbing Trend

Adele Calls Out Disturbing Trend of Throwing Objects at Artists on Stage

On a recent episode of “Weekends With Adele,” the pop singer addressed the disturbing trend of audience members throwing objects at performers with sarcasm.

Do you feel that everyone has temporarily forgotten how to behave during a performance? It consisted primarily of a swarm of people littering the stage. Adele asked the crowd at her Las Vegas residency using a T-shirt gun.

Yes, I double dog dare you. A fan-recorded video shows her jokingly stating, “Dare you to throw something at me, and I’ll fucking kill you.”

Adele continued, “Stop throwing things at the artist when you can shoot things at people…,” in reference to her T-shirt gun. Recently, I’ve been hanging out with them. How far do you believe these individuals have come?

Instances of objects being thrown at performers on stage have increased in recent years. Bebe Rexha’s June concert in New York City was cut short when an angry fan threw a phone at her, giving her a black eye and forcing her to leave the stage immediately. Based on their investigation, the NYPD determined that “a 27-year-old male intentionally threw a cell phone” at Rexha. After being taken into custody, he was charged with assault.

The following day, one of Ava Max’s concertgoers in Los Angeles slapped her. The slap he administered to me scratched the inner corner of my eye. Max responded via Twitter that he would not see him perform again. Recently, something struck Kelsea Ballerini in Idaho. Following the incident, Ballerini pleaded with the audience, “If you ever don’t feel safe, please let someone around you know.” Always sound the alarm if you believe someone is being excessively aggressive. Do not throw any objects. Do You Follow?
