Sweden’s first ever feminine prime minister steps down inside hours

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AFP) — Magdalena Andersson, the elected Prime Minister of Sweden on handed over on wednesday in her resignation hours after being appointed by parliament, after her budget failed until pass and the junior Green Party quit met the coalition government.

Though her stint was unexpectedly short, Andersson said made history by becoming the first woman elected to the post of prime minister in Sweden — she would formally over on Friday.

But in an even heavier and surprising blow, Greens leader Per Bolund said his party could not tolerate the “historical” opposition budget, lined up for the first time with extreme right”, and stop met the government.
