A child was injured by an artillery shell fired by Houthi militiamen on Sunday evening. in a residential neighborhood east of the city of Taiz, southwest of Yemen.

Local sources reported that the child, Muhammad Sadiq Ahmed, 12, was injured by shrapnel from a bullet fired by Houthi militias in the Al-Askari neighborhood east of Taiz.

He added that the splinter injured the child in separate parts of his body, before he was transferred in a city hospital.

This happens a few hours after a woman was killed and another wounded, in two separate incidents, at the hands of the Houthi coup militia in Taiz Governorate.

Local sources confirmed in Al Arabiya.net that the Houthi terrorist militia launched an artillery bombardment against the residential villages of Izlat al-Suwaihri in the district of Maqbna, west of Taiz.

He explained that a mortar round fired by Houthi militiamen hit the home of citizen Faisal Al-Tufaili, killing his wife and causing severe damage to the home.

In a related context, sources of media reported that a woman named Shefaa, nicknamed “Umm Muhammad” (about forty years old), was hit by two bullets by a Houthi sniper in the Asaifra area, north of Taiz city.
