Taylor Swift slams the “toxic” scooter Braun during the acceptance speech of the women’s award of the decade

While accepting the Woman of the Decade Award at the Billboard Women in Music event, Taylor Swift took the opportunity to shed light on an ongoing problem in the music industry. More specifically, in her acceptance speech, the superstar criticized Scooter Braun, with whom she was at war for buying the masters of her first six albums!

Taylor, who has had a great decade, wanted to stress that she will never let a man, or even a label, ruin her success as a woman and as a singer.

“ I saw that as a woman in this industry, people will always have slight reservations about you, if a man was really responsible in the studio or if it was a very wise record company [who was responsible for my success] ”, she told the audience.

She continued, “Recently, there was a new change that affected me personally and I feel like I’m talking about it. And it’s the unregulated world of private equity and the people who buy your music … [like] it’s a line of shoes. This happened to me without my own approval, consultation or consent. And of course, Scooter never contacted me or anyone on my team to discuss it before the sale or when it was announced. “

But Taylor stressed his opinion that he had probably done it on purpose and knew too well what she would think.

She even called the concept of toxic masculinity, saying that in the music industry, the very definition of a “toxic male privilege” is to make people defend it by saying that it always had been nice to them when the real subject of an artist’s possession of rights over their creation is evoked.

She almost called all her supporters and she did not stop there!

Taylor argued that it is not surprising that he is kind to people.

After all, “if you’re in this room, you have something that he needs!”
