LG unveils the latest displays for planes and cars during CES 2020

LG brings OLED screens to homes, hotels, offices, cars, and jet aircraft.

Prior to CES, LG announced a new series of screens for various institutions, including airplanes, cars, houses, hotels, offices and commercial spaces.

South Korean market leader debuts premium OLED screens for hotels and homes, while presenting a “video wall” built to provide aircraft with a series of 55-inch OLED screens.

In a press release, the company said it would show how advanced display products can be applied to daily life in a variety of settings under a campaign called “Your Lifestyle with LG.”

“By doing this, the company will prove how display technologies can be further expanded to meet the multifaceted needs of the varied lifestyle patterns of customers and to meet the characteristics of different spaces,” LG said.

In addition to the video wall, LG plans to give participants of CES in Las Vegas a snapshot of its other aircraft offers, including 65-inch Ultra HD Bendable OLED screens for first-class pilots and a 55-inch Full HD (FHD) Transparent OLED display with 40% transparency therefor can be used as a partition between parts of the plane.

There are also plans for a 13.3-inch Plastic OLED (POLED) tablet that can be placed in cabins.

For hotels and houses, LG Cinematic Sound introduces OLED screens with built-in sound systems, so that the screen generates sound directly. LG will also show off its 77-inch UHD Film Cinematic Sound & Wallpaper OLED screen that was said to be paper thin and made to hang on walls like wallpaper.

“The company will also unveil a 65-inch UHD Roll-Down OLED display, an innovation that refers to the future of interior design. It is stored in the ceiling and can be pulled down and rolled up when not in use,” said the company in the release.

“The smart home interior level is expected to be raised by maximizing space usage. In addition, LG Display will add another size OLED TV display to its line-up of 55-inch, 65-inch, 77-inch and 88-inch OLED TV screens, which extend consumer options by unveiling a 48-inch OLED TV screen for the first time in the world. “

When it comes to cars, LG plans to present dashboards adorned with four plastic OLED screens, as well as conceptual designs of a 12.8-inch roll-up OLED display mounted on the back of the driver’s seat.

In addition, the company has built a variety of OLED screens for schools, offices, commercial spaces and museums such as an 86-inch LCD screen with the in-TOUCH technology embedded in the screen.
