An ever-increasing mobile workforce means that video conferencing is more important than ever. This is how it benefits Zoom’s customers and employees.

Tech companies won half of the spots at Comparable 2019 Best Company Culture Awards at large companies and 60% on the small / medium list.

Employees of tech giants and smaller startups voted for their company as a good place to work. The top rated companies generally scored 15-30% higher in scores than the rest of the companies on the site when employees were asked questions about core culture statistics.

Top 10 for large companies

The top 10 on the large list of companies are all technology companies except four: HR service specialist ADP, employment agency Insight Global, dental practice manager Smile Brands and Costco:

  1. Microsoft, Redmond, WA
  2. Zoom Video Communications, San Jose, CA.
  3. ADP, Roseland, NJ
  4. Google, Mountain View, CA
  5. HubSpot, Cambridge, MA
  6. Insight Global, Atlanta, GA
  7. Smile Brands, Irvine, CA.
  8. Costco, Issaquah, WA
  9. Qualtrics, Provo, UT
  10. T-Mobile, Bellevue, WA

Many companies on the list were such as ADP, a technology-oriented company that serves a particular sector. If you add those marginal cases to the technology list, the dominance of technology in the culture competition is even stronger. Facebook came in at number 31 and Apple was even lower at number 42. GoDaddy just made it to number 47.

Each company has a score card page with details about how many employees voted and what they said about the company, as well as a gender score and a diversity score. Microsoft employees said the leadership team is “visionary and encourages risk-taking” and years of customer service said, “I’ve worked here for almost 30 years, I love the place, it just got a lot better with Satya as CEO, I can do it easily for another 20 years. ”

Top 10 for small and medium-sized businesses

Tech companies also won 60% of the places in the list of comparable small and medium-sized companies with many software-as-a-service companies in the mix:

A company that offers a fully decoupled product appeared at number 11 on the small / medium list. Compares the corporate culture in a similar way by asking employees to assess their employers anonymously. Large companies (more than 500 employees) must have at least 75 employees and small / medium-sized companies (less than 500 employees) need 25 participants. Employees answered 50 questions about the corporate culture and each answer received a mark. Extra weight was given to scores at companies with more participation from their workforce.
