The 2022 Steam Awards Winning Games Have Been Revealed

As predicted, Elden Ring swooped in to win Game of the Year, which enormously assisted in pushing the game beyond the mark set by The Last of Us Part II, the game with the most awards ever. There were many further categories; continue reading to get a complete list of The Steam Awards 2022’s winning games.

Every Game That Won At The Steam Awards 2022

The Steam Awards had eleven categories, making it considerably less bloated than The Game Awards. It should be noted, however, that Bill Clinton was not, regrettably, nominated for any awards at The Steam Awards.

  • Game of the Year: Elden Ring
  • VR Game of the Year: Hitman 3
  • Labor of Love: Cyberpunk 2077
  • Better With Friends: Raft
  • Outstanding Visual Style: Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
  • Most Innovative Gameplay: Stray
  • Best Game You Suck At Elden Ring
  • Best Soundtrack: Final Fantasy VII: Remake Intergrade
  • Outstanding Story-Rich Game: God of War
  • Sit Back and Relax: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
  • Best Game on the Go: Death Stranding

It is no surprise that Elden Ring cleaned up at The Steam Awards. Admittedly, almost every other category played out as expected. For instance, the charming and somewhat heartbreaking Stray picked up the award for Most Innovative Gameplay, which is apt – for a while, it was in the running for Game of the Year at many outlets.

Elsewhere, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales deserved the award for Outstanding Visual Style, boasting some of the most stunning graphics we’ve seen in gaming for years and one of the best photo mode packages. In 2023, we’ll pick up Spider-Man 2, where Morales will return.

The reason Cyberpunk 2077 won the Labor of Love award is not that surprising. The game’s relationship with players has been very tumultuous since its release. CD Projekt Red’s diligent work has refined the platform over the past two years. The game will receive DLC in 2023; a successor product will further extend the universe.

The Best Game on the Go award, which went to Death Stranding, was the final token of appreciation for the Steam Deck. The platform claims that this game is amazing, and you want to take it everywhere. Even though the competition for this category wasn’t especially fierce, hats go to Death Stranding, which will soon have a movie adaptation.
