The Asian delegation inspects Sharqia’s sports facilities in preparation of the “hand championship”

Representatives of the Asian Handball Confederation concluded the first inspection round in the eastern region this evening, to determine the availability of facilities and gyms in preparation to host the 20th Asian Team Championship, which qualifies for the 2023 “Poland-Sweden” World Championship, to be held in the Eastern region from 18 to 31 January, with 17 participating teams.
The tour included visiting the Prince Nayef Sports City hall in Qatif, as well as the various gyms at the Gulf Club, which will host the tournament’s training and matches, as well as inspecting transportation for guests, teams and work committees. Tomorrow, Saturday, visits to the rest of the facilities will continue, which will include the sports hall of the Ministry of Sports in Dammam and some gyms in the club.
Participation in the tour was presented by Vice President of the International Handball Federation for Asia, AFC Treasurer Badr Diab, AFC Executive Director Ahmed Abu Al-Lail, AFC Secretary Marwan Mazen, as well as President of the board of directors of Saudi Arabia. Handball Federation, chairman of the supreme committee Fadel Al-Nimr and member of the board of directors, federation management and tournament director Ali Al-Olaywat.
