The Body marks the beginning of realization of the director malayalam Jeethu Joseph. The film, which is a remake of the successful Spanish film of the same name, stars Emraan Hashmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vedhika and Rishi Kapoor in important roles. The film is a mystery thriller that revolves around the murder of the businesswoman hotshot Maya Puri embodied by Sobhita Dhulipala. Rishi Kapoor plays the cop in service and investigates this mystery of murder while Vedhika plays the credulous partner in the crime with Maya’s husband Emraan Hashmi. The movie trailer really caught the attention of people on YouTube through 30 million views.
The Body faces Rani Mukhreji’s Mardaani 2 at the box office. Helmedy of Gopi Puthran is the story of a gravy cop and a free pyscho killer in Kota, Rajasthan. The film is a sequel to the hit Mardaani released in 2014.
