The British Prime Minister resigns

British Prime Minister Liz Truss officially announced his resignation and was informed by King Charles III.

Today he told her in a speech: “I cannot perform the task for which I was elected to the Conservative Party and I have informed the king that I will resign from the presidency of the Conservative Party.”

“We have agreed that the elections will be held next week and I will continue to be prime minister until I choose my successor,” he said.
