With the release of Call of Duty 2023 later this year, previous rumors surrounding the Call of Duty franchise have stated that the franchise will finally stop releasing games from the previous generation. Cerberus is mentioned in the documents, albeit we cannot delve deeply into the material they provide.

Unfortunately, some of the information made publicly available on Twitter has already been altered, as highlighted in our most recent data breach report. This implies that even while a Call of Duty 2024 past-generation version was once intended, the references discovered could need to be altered.

Call of Duty now uses the same engine regardless of which company is developing it lends validity to the possibility of another past-generation game for the franchise. This modification, which will be used for COD 2.0, will improve studio-to-studio coordination during the development cycle.

Data miner RealityUK previously leaked images from Call of Duty 2024 in 2022. One photograph, which shows the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk, a retired American attack aircraft first flown in October 1983, was obtained through the Call of Duty warzone mobile app.

Call of Duty requires a previous-generation console version, given that Nintendo and Microsoft just agreed to a 10-year deal to bring the game to Nintendo platforms. Despite the situation, Project Cerberus will be updated as we learn more.
