The conclusion of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum summit in Bangkok

The summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum on the theme “Openness, Connectivity, Balance” concluded in the Thai capital, Bangkok.

Thailand’s Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha expressed the hope that member states’ economies would work together to help the Asia-Pacific region develop and prosper.

He said the world is going through a big change and that the environment and sustainability are crucial, after members adopted the final declaration, which focused on the “Bangkok Goals” to promote the bio-circular and green economy model ( BCG).

Interestingly, the Economic Leaders Week Forum for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Region was launched at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, where it was inaugurated by Prime Minister of Thailand, General Prayuth Chan-ocha , and lasted from 14 to 19 November 2022.

APEC has 21 members: Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand , the United States and Vietnam.
