The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Sends Verbal Message to President Chakwera of Malawi

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, recently sent a verbal message to His Excellency President Lazarus Chakwera of the Republic of Malawi. The message focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance joint cooperation. The message was delivered by His Excellency the Advisor at the Royal Court, Professor Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, during President Chakwera’s reception at the Presidential Palace in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi.

Warm Greetings and Wishes for Progress and Prosperity

During the reception, President Chakwera received warm greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. They expressed their wishes for further progress and prosperity for the government and people of the Republic of Malawi. President Chakwera conveyed his own greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, and the government and people of Saudi Arabia.

Support for Hosting Expo 2030 and the Two Summits

President Chakwera affirmed his country’s full support for the Kingdom’s request to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh. Additionally, he welcomed the Kingdom’s initiative to hold the first Saudi-African summit and the fifth Arab-African summit within its borders this year.

The reception was also honored by the presence of Deputy Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Zambia, Yazid Al-Darwish.

Malawi’s Support for Expo 2030 and the Two Summits

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi, in a press conference with Counselor Qattan, expressed her country’s support for Saudi Arabia in hosting Expo 2030 in Riyadh. She also conveyed her government’s welcome for the Kingdom’s initiative in organizing the first Saudi-African summit and the fifth Arab-African summit.

Appreciation for Strong Relations

Counselor Qattan, in response, expressed the deep gratitude of the Government of Saudi Arabia for Malawi’s support. He highlighted that this support reflects the strength of the relations between the two countries.
