The education minister discusses ways to strengthen cooperation with his Indonesian counterpart and UNESCO assistance

His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Sheikh, met with the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia; Nadim Anwar Makarem and UNESCO Deputy Director-General of Education, Dr Stephanie Giannini, as part of the agenda of His Excellency’s visit in Indonesia to attend the G20 education ministers meeting currently in course in Bali. The Minister of Education discussed with the Indonesian side ways to strengthen the existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Indonesia in the field of education and to build a solid and comprehensive partnership to benefit from the plans and programs of development implemented by educational institutions in the two countries, as well as strengthening cooperation and partnerships in university education, scientific research and innovation, in scholarships studio for students and in the scholarships of studio university students.

His Excellency discussed with UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education the strengthening of cooperation mechanisms between the Kingdom and UNESCO in the field of education and support for future aspects of cooperation in matters of international cooperation, joint work and exchange of skills and experience, as well as the improvement of education systems and the development of scientific research, which will contribute to global prosperity.
