The Egyptian armed forces thwarted a terrorist attack on a water pumping station east of the Suez Canal, while the armed confrontation resulted in the killing of 11 soldiers and the wounding of others.

Military spokesman for the Egyptian Armed Forces, Colonel Arkan Harb Gharib Abdel Hafez, said today in a statement that a group of terrorist elements attacked the water lift point east of the canal, and the confrontation took place and confronted, resulting in the killing of an officer and ten recruits, and the wounding of five individuals , indicating that those elements have been pursued and besieged them in one of the isolated areas of Sinai.
