The Egyptian Football Association thanks Ihab Galal and looks for a foreign manager to lead the team

Cairo: The Egyptian Football Association has announced its thanks to Ihab Galal, coach of the first team, and the opening of negotiations with a foreign manager to assume responsibility in the next period. Hazem Emam, a member of the Federation’s board of directors, said in a press conference today, Thursday, that a foreign manager for the Egyptian team will be hired to succeed Galal, to lead the team in the next period. He added that he will negotiate with another foreign technical director to lead the Olympic team and also with a foreign technical director for the Football Association. He explained: “I was delegated with Mohamed Barakat, a member of the board, to conclude the negotiations with foreign coaches, with the appointment of a foreign development manager for the referees committee.” Ihab Galal took over the leadership of the Egyptian national team last April, succeeding Portugal’s Carlos Queiroz, and led the team in three games, losing two and winning one, beating Guinea 1/0 and losing to Ethiopia 0/2 in the African Nations Cup qualifiers, before losing in friendly 4/1 against South Korea.
