The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the United States participates in the “Cat Walk” initiative.

The Embassy of the Kingdom in the United States today participated in the second edition of the global initiative “Cat Walk” organized by the Catmosphere organization which is responsible for supporting initiatives to preserve wild cats in via of extinction, in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the ambassador of the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques in the United States of America, and a number of employees of the embassy in Washington. The participation saw the participation of some employees of the embassy on foot for a distance of 7 kilometers in order to raise awareness and encourage the conservation of wild cats, in particularly the Arabian leopard, which the Kingdom has made great efforts to protect from extinction and restore it to its natural environment, as part of the Royal Commission programs for the Governorate of AlUla.

The official spokesperson for the embassy, ​​Fahd Nazer, confirmed, in a statement to the Saudi News Agency that participation in the Kingdom Embassy Employee Initiative in Washington comes with the support, encouragement and guidance of His Highness, Kingdom Ambassador to the United States, with the goal to support the protection of 40 wild cat species in via of extinction and trying to remember the importance of preserving them in their natural environment, noting that the event mainly aims to raise awareness of the importance of preserving wild cats in via of extinction in Worldwide.
