The Council of the European Union today gave the via free to the extension for another year of the Union rules on the digital certificate (Covid 19) for restaurants against the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19) due to the pandemic in course.

The council, which represents the Union’s 27 member states, said in a statement that the European Union adopted the regulations in force on June 14, 2021, which entered in effective in early July 2021 and that their work will currently be extended until 30 June 2023.

The statement indicated that certificates played an important role in facilitating the movement of people within EU countries during the pandemic.

He explained that the extension will connect travelers from inside and outside the European Union to the system, allowing them to continue using digital certificates (Covid 19) to travel within member states, where these certificates are required. .

He stressed that the regulation can also be canceled in advance if the health situation allows.
