Today, Wednesday, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz will be on his way in official visit to the Turkish capital, Ankara, the first at this level between the two countries in years.
Gantz will hold official talks tomorrow, Thursday, with his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar, at the Turkish Ministry of Defense headquarters in the Turkish capital, Ankara, following the official reception with the honor guard, which will be organized for the Israeli minister by the its Turkish counterpart.
Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said in precedence that he would “assess the general situation with his Israeli counterpart, Benny Gantz”, during the planned visit of questlast in Ankara.
The Turkish minister added that “Gantz’s visit in Turkey will be the first of its kind at this level in years. “
He continued: “Our policies and our opinions are clear. The Republic of Turkey is a country that practices a very transparent policy. This is what we will explain to them and see what the next phase will bring us according to the expected developments.”
Although Turkish-Israeli relations have witnessed what has been called a “diplomatic break” in the past few years, economic relations between the two countries have developed considerably over the same period.
