The foreign minister participates in the Saudi-Turkmen diplomatic symposium

His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, together with His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, attended the Saudi-Turkmen diplomatic symposium today in on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries, at the Institute for International Relations of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the capital Ashgabat, with the participation of the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered a speech in which he thanked the Institute of International Relations of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs for holding the symposium in coincide with the Kingdom and Turkmenistan’s celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries, emphasizing On the fraternal ties between the two brother countries, and on the compatibility of common perspectives, aspirations and interests.

He praised the efforts of the Saudi-Turkmen Joint Committee, describing it as the backbone of developing and activating political and economic relations between the Kingdom and Turkmenistan.

And His Highness indicated that the region has witnessed many political events and tensions over the past three decades that have impacted the international arena, yet the Kingdom and Turkmenistan have been in able to maintain a solid and strong relationship.

Subsequently, His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs visited the institute, during which he listened to a detailed explanation of the history of the institute and the mechanisms it provides for the graduation of Turkmen diplomats.
