The French Clermont signs the Algerian Mehdi Zvane

Paris: French football club Clermont announced the signing of Algerian defender Mehdi Zavan, with a contract that extends to 2025. Clermont said on its official website today Wednesday that it has signed with Zvane, who in he had previously played for Lyon, a two-year contract, plus an additional season as an option. Zfan had already played with Lyon and Rennes in the French league, with the Russian Krylya Sovetov and with Turkey Yeni Malatyaspor. Internationally, Zaffan won the African Nations Cup with his Algeria national team in the 2019 edition which took place in Egypt, and with his former team Rennes, won the French Cup the same year. Clermont finished 17th in the French Ligue 1 last season. (Dpa)
