The German teenager lays down a record world

Jamal Musiyala, who scored Germany’s fourth goal against North Macedonia (4-0) in Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers last Monday, became the youngest player to score a goal in the German ranks since 1910.

The Bayern Munich player scored the goal at the age of 18 years and 227 days, to help make his country the first country to qualify through World Cup qualifiers.

Musila’s goal came in the 83rd minute when he was spotted by the North Macedonia goalkeeper and scored into his goal after a pass from his young colleague Karim Adeyemi (19). As for the youngest scorer in the history of the German national team, Marius Heller, who scored a goal against Switzerland (3-0) on 3 April 1910, remains at the age of 17 years and 249 days.
