The “human rights” expert urges the Sudanese to participate in the search for a political solution

The UN-appointed expert on human rights in Sudan, Adama Dieng, urged the Sudanese to participate and contribute to a political solution in Sudan.

During the press conference – which was held today on human rights in Sudan at the office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Khartoum – Adama welcomed the release of the politicians and the lifting of the state of emergency.

He explained that the main objective of his visit is to continue working to monitor the human rights situation during this period, noting that the results of his visit will contribute to the dialogue which will begin on 15 June.
