The IMF raises its forecast for the growth of the Egyptian economy to 5.6% in 2022

The International Monetary Fund raised its forecast for the growth of the Egyptian economy by 0.4% questyear reaching 5.6%.

The Fund also set the economic growth forecast for next year at 5.6%.

This came just days after the World Bank raised its forecast for Egyptian GDP growth by half a percentage point to 5.5% in the fiscal year. in course 2022/2021, compared to the previous forecast of 5% in October, according to the World Economic Outlook report.

This comes against the backdrop of increased exports, growth in gas and information technology, and a recovery in the tourism sector, according to the report.
