The Iranian regime for protesters: Hijab or account blocking in bank

After the Iranian authorities announced the disbandment of the moral police and the suspension of what they call “moral patrols”, an Iranian parliament deputy and member of the parliamentary cultural committee, Hussein Jalali, announced that the government is considering freezing bank accounts for unveiled women.

He added that the decision came instead of running literary periodicals, known as Orientation Periodicals, which Iran’s prosecutor announced it was stopping a few days ago.

Jalali also clarified that with the end of the protests, these issues will be resolved within a week or two, which means that the headscarf will return to women’s heads, as he said.

He went on to say that thehijab and the chastity plan will be implemented in the next two weeks, provided that the cost of not wearing thehijab be increased.

Jalali believed that Khadda would be the alternative program for Iranian government literature periodicals, arguing that the intention behind the style change is that unveiled women can be reminded via text messages that they have not complied with thehijab and ask them to respect the law.

Then he continued: “After the reminder, we may enter the warning stage, then in the third stage, the bank account for unveiled women may be closed.”

I also know that the draft of the veil and the chastity plan will not be withdrawn, because this withdrawal means the withdrawal of the Islamic Republic, as he said.

This announcement coincided with the vague announcement by the Iranian prosecutor of the “suspension of the Journal of Arts,” where Ali Khan Mohammadi, spokesman for the Headquarters for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, said in an unclear statement that the mission of the Morale and Social Security Patrols (il Giornale delle Arti) had been “concluded”. However, he was at the same time emphasizing the need to use newer, newer and more accurate methods “with regards to ‘chastity and the veil,’ according to his statement of him.
