The “Islamic Cooperation” welcomes the UN declaration to sponsor a dialogue between the Sudanese parties

The General Secretariat of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation welcomed the announcement of the United Nations to facilitate the process of dialogue between Sudanese political parties, with the aim of reaching an agreement to end the current crisis and draw a sustainable path towards democracy and pace.

The General Secretariat affirmed its support for all regional and international efforts in support of dialogue and reconciliation between the Sudanese parties, giving priority to the supreme interest of the Sudanese people and supporting their aspirations to pace, democracy, security and development, and the commitment of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation to use all its capabilities to support dialogue in the transition period in in line with the decisions of the Islamic Summit and the Council of Foreign Ministers.

The organization’s secretary general, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, expressed the organization’s support for Sudan to ensure its security, stability, national unity and prosperity.
