Strengthening its position within the system of countries of the world in reducing disaster risks at the local and international levels, and working with the international community to consolidate relations of cooperation and coordination between the concerned parties in the countries of the world to ensure the exchange of experiences in all aspects related to environmental protection and management, avoiding disasters and reducing their effects, and disseminating and developing a culture of prevention in confronting natural disasters, accidents, and environmental safety.

The celebration of the International Day for Disaster Reduction begins on October 13, which represents an annual event that is renewed every year on this date.
