The Kremlin: the possible Turkish operation in Syria will not bring stability

Yesterday the Kremlin said that a possible Turkish military operation in Syria would not help achieve stability. Ankara says it must act in Syria because Washington and Moscow are reneging on their promises to push YPGs 30km from the Turkish border after the Turkish offensive in 2019. He says attacks from YPG-controlled areas of Syria have increased. The Russian news agency RIA quoted the Russian envoy in Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, saying that Turkey’s operation could lead to an escalation of the situation and destabilization.
