Roommates, forgive my enthusiasm, but if there was one show I knew I could win when I was a kid, it was Nickelodeon’s “Legends of the Hidden Temple”.
So now that it is reported that the series is restarting for adults, I say to myself: “Where should I register?!?” You heard right; #Quibi announced that it was “Legends of the Hidden Temple” for an adult audience “who grew up with them,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
All of the original children’s stuff shows like the all-knowing Olmec, the Moat Crossing challenge and the famous Temple Run will come back, but the improvements are going to be crazy.
“The complete package will be released from the studio, into a jungle, and scaled up with more difficult challenges and bigger prizes at stake,” the statement said.
“Reporting legends for Quibi is a dream come true, “said Scott A. Stone, one of the creators of the original show and executive producer of the adult reboot. “I was so lucky to be part of this decisive millennial show, and now there is a decisive millennial platform to accompany it. I couldn’t be more excited. ”
Nickelodeon and Stone & Company Entertainment are also back as producers.
Quibi will soon be launching candidates to participate in the program.
The original Hidden temple legends – by Stone, David G. Stanley and Stephen R. Brown – aired on Nickelodeon for six years, from 1993 to 1999. The network started a film based on the show by director Joe Menendez in 2016.
Quibi is expected to launch the restart on April 6, 2020.
