The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Fatah movement led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, issued a statement in to which he states: “The Mahdi Hashash of the Balata camp is one of his fighters and was martyred during armed clashes with the occupation army, near the tomb of Joseph”.

A Jewish settlement organization said eight Israeli Knesset lawmakers elected on November 1 were visiting the site, including members of the right-wing Likud party led by Benjamin Netanyahu and the far-right alliance for religious Zionism. And his forces opened fire on a person who planted a bomb in the area, talking about injuring a person. The Palestinian Red Crescent said: “Three other people were injured in the clashes.”

Palestinians consider Joseph’s tomb an Islamic archaeological landmark and until 1967 the “Maqam Joseph” was a mosque before Israeli forces took over, closed and transformed it. in a Jewish holy place.
