Apple has announced the Apple Watch Series 7, which looks slightly different from its predecessors and features a display Redesigned retina with much more screen real estate and thinner bezels, making it the display bigger and more advanced.
The narrower edges of the screen allow for larger screen real estate, with minimal changes to the size of the watch itself. Even if the clock isn’t the biggest. But everything about it should be more readable.
The design of the Apple Watch Series 7 has been improved with more rounded and rounded corners and the display features a reflective edge that makes the full-screen dials and apps seamlessly connect to the curve of the case.
Apple Watch Series 7 also features an improved user interface for the larger screen, offering greater readability and ease of use, as well as two unique watch faces – Contour and Modular Duo – designed specifically for the new device.
The bezels around the screen are thinner at just 1.7mm and the always-on display mode is 70% brighter.
The company claims that it is possible to fill 50% of text in more on-screen than the 6 series. The new screen also means new ways to interact, with a full keyboard that supports scrolling.
And the larger screen doesn’t mean it’s more sensitive, as the company claims it’s crack resistant and now has an IP6X dust resistance rating and maintains a WR50 water resistance rating, which means it should be in able to soak in the sand at the beach or face other dusty environments.
The latest watch continues to offer essential tools for health and well-being, including the electric heart sensor, ECG 3 app, blood oxygen sensor, and app.
The small watch went from 40 millimeters to 41 millimeters and the large watch went from 44 millimeters to 45 millimeters. This makes these watches the largest ever made by the company.
The new Apple Watch has a completely new look
The small watch is now only 1 millimeter smaller than the larger watch introduced in 2014.
But larger cases shouldn’t mean you have a bigger device on your wrist. And the Apple Watch Series 7 should have a much longer battery life. The 6 Series offers up to 18 hours of battery life.
Aside from the changes mentioned above, the 7 Series is very similar to the 6 Series: the same sensors and processors and the alleged big box they have not been redesigned.
And like the 6 Series, the new 7 Series offers up to 18 hours of battery life. Includes a charger that charges via USB-C instead of USB-A. With up to 33% faster charging.
Additionally, the company claims that eight minutes of charging gives you up to eight hours of battery life.
The watch is available in five total colors, black, gold, blue and the usual red. In addition to the dark green color that appears in synchronicity with the new strong support.
In addition to Apple Watch premium updates, the company has also added some new features to Watch OS 8.
And outdoor cycling now has better support. And the exercise should stop automatically when you stop at traffic lights or just take a break.
Fall support now also appears in workouts. So, if you stumble during a workout, the clock is in able to call emergency services.
Plus, the new 7 Series starts at $ 399. Available later this fall.
“Apple Watch Series 7 brings significant improvements from our larger, more advanced screens to longer life and faster charging, making the world’s best smartwatch better than ever,” the company said. Based on watchOS 8, Apple Watch brings useful new features to help customers stay in contact, track activity and workouts, and better understand their health and well-being.
