The new Fallout 76 patch creates more problems by breaking legendary armor
The latest patch from Fallout 76, Update 16, has only been available for a day and some players have already found a big bug. Reloading your weapon may cause the legendary armor to break after the patch is installed, although this problem does not always occur.
In this youtube video by user Jas Thompson, you can see that the armor they have armor starts with a defense value of 519 and drops to 414 after reloading.

The problem, however, is a little more complicated than it seems. While a reddit thread seems to indicate that the problem is constantly occurring, a comment from Reddit user Swan990 paints a slightly clearer picture. According to Swan990, the problem occurs only occasionally and does not even break the effects or statistics of any legendary armor in the game, as the original thread claims.
The players have not figured out why the problem sometimes occurs or what conditions trigger it. The only thing you know for sure is that sometimes, when you reload, your armor breaks.
The timing for this new bug is particularly unfortunate for Bethesda. The developer has scheduled a Fallout 76 event in the game this weekend, giving players a second chance to explore the game’s Halloween content.
