Nintendo has announced on social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, that it was a great privilege to collaborate with Martinet, a 67-year-old renowned voice actor. Nintendo further stated that Martinet would continue to participate in shaping the future of Mario’s character.
The individual in question has been appointed as a “Mario ambassador” and will undertake global travel to meet with fans of the popular video game character. This announcement was positively received by the individual through their social media channels.
A New Role
The longstanding voice actor for Mario, Charles Martinet, is transitioning from voicing the character in video games to a new role as Mario ambassador. Martinet has voiced Mario since the game Super Mario 64, but will no longer record character voices. However, he will continue to spread Mario’s joy worldwide and connect with fans.
