The President of the Ivory Coast commends the level of support and cooperation with the Islamic Bank

The Ambassador of the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire and the Republic of Liberia, Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Subaie, received the President of the Islamic Development Bank, Dr. Muhammad bin Suleiman Al- in his office. Jasser, following his visit to the President of the Republic of the Ivory Coast Alassane Ouattara.

His Excellency conveyed to the ambassador the results of that visit and President Ouattara’s praise for the level of support and cooperation with the Islamic Bank and the level of relations and ongoing support enjoyed by the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire from the United and its leadership in general, in in particular, the projects financed by the Islamic Development Bank Group through support for state plans for economic development.

Al-Jasser pointed out that the total funding has amounted to US $ 2.1 billion since 1991 and included several areas, including roads, agriculture, health, education, water and others.

His Excellency the President of the Islamic Development Bank visited the urban project in Cocody (North Abidjan), financed by the Bank, worth 260 million US dollars, and met in precedence also the Vice President of the Republic of the Côte d ‘Ivoire, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Planning and other officials.
