The Elysée announced that French President Emmanuel Macron called Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman today Saturday and discussed the dangers threatening the stability of the region.
The French president and the Saudi crown prince have also expressed their desire to strengthen the strategic partnership that binds the two countries.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations between France and Saudi Arabia and expressed a desire to strengthen economic relations between the two countries, especially in the field of energy.
Furthermore, the discussion was concentrated in particular on Lebanon, and the French president stressed the need to elect a president as soon as possible, in order to implement the program of structural reforms necessary for the advancement of this country.
It was also agreed with the Saudi Crown Prince to continue and strengthen their cooperation to meet the humanitarian needs of the Lebanese people.
They touched on the next meeting according to the formula of the “Baghdad Conference” which will be held in Amman and which will bring together, as in the previous version, the countries of the region at the highest levels to work on their stability and dialogue with each other.
